Some plants are available for online purchase depending on season, please go to the plant section of the shop.

Gunnera Manicata

Huge, rubarb-like, prickly leaves up to 6 ft. across in damp sites - but it doesn't have to be to grow it! This Brazilian plant is hardy and will make an imposing feature. The crowns are best shielded from frost in winter, we suggest using the leaves of the last year's growth. But not really an issue when well established. The new leaves start into growth early in the year. Supplied in approx 2-3 litre containers.

Ligularia Przewalskii - Leopard Plant

Huge spires of golden yellow flowers standing tall above the foliage are produced in abundance in late summer.

The huge leaves are palmately cut with deeply toothed margins and are supported by dark, purplish-black stems. Ligularia. przewalskii, (Shavalski's Ligularia) has bright-green, large, deeply cut leaves.

In mid summer, spikes of deep yellow, star-shaped flowers emerge from the foliage. These are large plants, need lots of room. Height of 5-6 feet, and will spread in a few years of years to form a mound 5 feet wide.

Primula Rosea

One of the earliest primulas to flower, opening its first bright pink flowers in March, while the leaves are barely showing and are still olive green, and while the flower stems have not elongated at all.

Later the leaves are green and the flower stems are taller, carrying perhaps as many as twenty flowers each. It thrives in the wettest places.
